when in doubt, more fire and getting in practice drawing a truck

struggled with the perspective on the bone-tail/weapon... there's a certain amount of overlay and i need to practice that a lot more (plenty of opportunities). should also put in a step when designing a character with a weapon... ACTUALLY DRAW HIM/HER HOLDING THE WEAPON... found out the hilt of the Whelp Catcher is orthogonal to her striking edge, not parallel. that just looks wrong to draw and i'd imagine it would be horrible to use (banging into wrist). but it's a spine connected by fire, so don't think i'm pushing any boundaries by saying it can twist (and i've been forgetting to add that to the ref for the last week)

trying different things with outline... realized i can select the outline and overlay a pattern... not every pattern works, like this spiral one...

had some thoughts for the characters in the truck to be yelling about it's performance... along the lines of "go faster! it's chasing us" || "the clutch is jammed... i'm stuck in 2nd gear." i've only driven automatics and though i hate friends, it was that ubiquitous growing up that that song is drilled into my head
